I am Elizabeth, Eliza or Liz... depending on how much typing you want to do.
I am married to Martin and we have 3 children, a girl and 2 boys. We live in a noisy and rather untidy house in Dublin, Ireland. I love my family but I hate housework, cooking and shopping, domestication passed me by!

The past I graduated art college in the latter part of the 20th century, did a course in post-grad freelance communications (media) and excelled as a party girl.
I could never decide what I wanted to be when I grew up, except that I wanted to do something arty. So, I've had a whole host of "arty" jobs and still haven't decided what I want to be... when I grow up :O_o: I have worked in the creative wastelands of advertising, designed and made costumes and jewelry, done multi-tasking jobs in various arts centers, I ran a black and white darkroom, I've been a teacher, an actor and a corporate entertainer. I hosted 2 weekly radio shows for 3 years and had the odd (secret) job of being a regular shit-stirrer on a late night phone in show. I've also worked on the street, as a pavement artist, muralist and street entertainer, so it's no small wonder that I love street photography. I am a published cartoonist, illustrator and photographer. My work has appeared in The Evening Herald and The Star (newspapers), Gay Community News, Management Magazine, the Irish Tattler and Image Magazine (and a bunch of minor publications I can't remember) I illustrated a book of short stories "Treasures in the Attic" I think it was called, it was bloody awful!

The present I pretty much stopped taking photographs and drawing for several years, my "creative juices" were taken up with having children and developing new characters for my on again/off again career as an entertainer. My husband started my dA account to encourage me to take up drawing again, I haven't put pen to paper since I became active in dA but I have picked up a camera and am once again passionate about photography.
My current camera is DSLR but I really miss using film. It has nothing to do with purist snobbery, I love film, I miss working in a traditional darkroom, I miss the rituals and I even miss the smell! I doubt I will quit using a digital camera but I do plan on returning to film as soon as finances allow. I'm pretty much unemployed at the moment, an unusual and uncomfortable place for me to be, so finances won't stretch to new camera equipment until I find gainful employment.

The Future This section may change soon :fingerscrossed: I'm waiting to hear if my new job is actually going to happen, teaching beginners photography. The rest... who knows!
